Poll Proves President Obama to Be Weak Where He Should Be Strong

Bookmark and Share    A new Quinnipiac Poll shows that 52% of New Jersey voters disapprove of the job that President Obama is doing and 43% approve of his job performance.  It is his lowest approval rating in the Garden State yet.  A breakdown of the polls shows that  Democrats approve of his job performance 77% to 19% percent. Disapproval is 88% – 10%  among Republicans, and the most important and lethal number is his 60% – 34% disapproval rating among independent voters.

Quinnipiac also notes that there is a large gender gap as women have a 50% to 45% approval rating of the Presidents job performance, while men disapprove  60%  to 36%.

Still though, the poll finds that voters are split 47% to 48% on whether President Obama deserves reelection.

However; one should take note of the polling history pertaining to New Jersey’s 2009 gubernatorial election.

At this same point in that election, almost a year before it took place,  a similar Quinnipiac Poll found that New Jersey voters disapproved of Governor Jon Corzine’s job performance by 51% to  40%.  It was his fourth negative score that year. Democrats approved of the Governor 60% to  31, while Republicans disapproved 75% to 19%,  and independent voters gave him a thumbs down by 52% – 38%.

Those numbers are better than President Obama’s number are and Jon Corzine went on to be  soundly defeated by Chris Christie.

The only difference is that President Obama’s job approval among Democrats is higher than Jon Corzine’s approval was at this same point in his election.  That shows that New Jersey Democrats are still more enthusiastic about Obama than they were of Corzine.  But aside form that, President Obama’s disapproval among New Jersey Republicans, and more importantly, New Jersey Independent voters, is substantially higher than Corzine’s were.

All of this simply confirms that at the moment, President Obama is indeed in trouble.

These poll numbers come from a very blue state that is in the bluest region of the nation for…….. the Northeast.  If the majority of voters  in a state like New Jersey disapprove of the job that the President  is doing, than you can rest assured that similar sentiments exist throughout the region.  So it only follows that President Obama will have to actually spend time and money campaigning in state’s like, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and even New York.  That will give the President less time and resources to dedicate to winning battleground, or swing states, like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida.

The last time a Republican presidential candidate won New Jersey was in 1988, when George H. W. Bush defeated Michael Dukakis.

With 14 electoral votes, if New Jersey does not soon be safely in President Obama’s column, it will dramatically increase the number of electoral college equations needed for Republicans to reach the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.  Following conventional wisdom, giving Democrats and Republicans the state’s they traditionally win and leaving states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and several others undecided, if New Jersey is a tossup,  President Obama will have 15 different ways to reach a winning combination of electoral votes.  Republicans would have 45 winning combinations available to them.  And for those who really like suspense, there would be 7 scenarios whereby there could be a tie in the electoral college.

Chris Chrisite’s Speech at the Reagan Library Shows Why He Should Run for President

See the video of Christie’s speech below this post and for a complete transcript of the speech, click here.

Bookmark and Share On Tuesday evening, after delivering a keynote address on “Real American exceptionalism” for the Reagan Foundation at the Reagan Library, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie definitively any speculation about his entering 2012 presidential race as a presidential candidate.

The speech Christie gave was a plain-spoken, smooth flowing, hard-hitting, presentation that demonstrated the wealth of endless potential that could be unleashed in America by combining Republican principles with the type of frank and honest leadership that comes only from people of true integrity. Christie argued his case for the awesome power of the two when combined, by linking the history of Reagan Republicanism and Reagan’s leadership, to Obama socialism and Obama’s lack of leadership. He then essentially described how the two means do not lead to the same end. He made this point further by also contrasting between what is getting done in New Jersey under his management, with what is or isn’t getting done in Washington, DC under President Obama’s mismanagement.

The speech was, to use a phrase that Christie used, “a parable of principle“, which offered a roadmap to true American exceptionalism. As for the details of the speech, I am intentionally leaving them out. That is because I wish not to deprive anyone of the opportunity to hear them or read them yourself, in Christie’s own words. Hence the reason for the video and transcript provided for you within this post.

What I will tell you is that some of the most entertaining and heartfelt moments came during the brief question and answer period once the speech was over.

It was then that Christie laced his honesty with a unique mix of Jersey-style bluntness and endearing humor to stake out some well received positions and make viewers also understand why so many want him to seek the Republican nomination for President.

On that topic, while a Christie candidacy was first foremost on the minds of all who were listening, it was not the first question asked upon completion of Christie’s keynote address. The first question was on illegal immigration and his thoughts on in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. In his answer, Christie explained that while he believes that our borders must be secured, he did not believe that states and taxpayers had any responsibility to subsidize illegal immigrants. And going a step further, the never shy New Jersey Governor took a swipe at Texas Governor Rick Perry. “And I don’t think that’s heartless. I think it’s common sense”, said Christie.

The second question for the Governor came from a man who asked The Governor if he was considering a run for President. To this Christie joked, that he was disappointed in the audience gathered before him. He said that for that to be the second question and not the first, showed him that they were not demonstrating America exceptionalism. He continued by explaining that he was not running and cited a video prepared by Politico.com as the best and most explanatory answer he could offer. The video spliced together a dozen or so different interviews from the past year in which Christie stated that he is not running and why.

But almost immediately following that answer, a questioner from the balcony was given the mic. This person did not ask a question. In very heartfelt terms, she instead made a request of the Governor and said “Please reconsider. We can’t wait till 2016. Your Country needs you”. To this Christie explained that he understood but he joked that while he is flattered and that while no politician’s ego is so small that they would demand people stop asking them to become the leader of the free world, he must keep answering “no”. He went on to say ,“I’m just a kid from Jersey who feels like I’m the luckiest guy in the world to have the opportunity that I have to be the governor of my state.” He added “That heartfelt message you gave me is also not a reason for me to do it. That reason has to reside inside me.”

Christie’s appearance at the Reagan Library was truly powerful and ironically, he sounded like a presidential candidate. He subtly drew similarities between his leadership as a Governor and Ronald Reagan’s as a President. He also aggressively, but appropriately tore apart President Obama and successfully used the President’s own words against him. And he even took a shot at someone who would be opposing him if he were to run in the Republican primary. That combined with the sudden public leaks and comments involving what was the most recent flurry of speculation about Christie and the presidency, I have come to believe that history will reveal that in late September of 2011, New Jersey Governor Christopher J. Christie was about to run for President of the United States. But at the last minute, [fill in the blank] was the determining factor that caused him to change his mind and not announce his candidacy. Remember, you heard it here first.

That view may or may not be confirmed but upon the conclusion of Christie’s appearance at the Reagan Library, there are two things we all now know with certainty. One is that Chris Christie is authentic. He is the real deal. Love him or hate him, you can rest assured that you are loving or hating the real Chris Christie. The other thing that we now know definitively is that Chris Christie is not running for President in 2012. Vice President is another story that we will begin to write about after we finish the chapter that reveals who the presidential nominee is. So now, the only big name left available for speculation is Sarah Palin.

On a last note, I would like to make a personal admission.

As a resident of New Jersey who for the last twenty months has been living under the rule of Governor Christie, after listening to him at the Reagan Library last night, I can honestly tell you that for the first time in the fifteen years that this Brooklyn boy has lived the Garden State, I am proud to call it home, and for the for the first time in my life, I am truly proud to tell people who my Governor is.

Ruling Regime Wants You To Identify Dissenters at flag@whitehouse.gov

Bookmark and Share    The White House’s recent attempt to flag what they term disinformation on the internet is reminiscent of the good old days of the Soviet Union.

censorshipAACommunist states have tight control over the media and force all published information to be from official sources and to be vetted through the state. Yet recently the democratic government of the United States posted the following statement on the White House’s official government web site:

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

For the federal government to ask Americans to send to them the emails of dissenting voices on the healthcare issue may sound innocent enough but it is far from innocent.

These are the thoughts and practices of totalitarian regimes and it can only lead to nefarious federal targeting of individuals. What will the White House do with this information? Will they promise not to target those who offer their contradictory opinions to the President’s socialized medicine policy? Will they not delve into the identities of those who have a different opinion from the President on the issue?

The White House has actually and officially embarked upon an American witch-hunt by soliciting Americans to turn over dissenters of administration policy.

Hitler did this, Saddam Hussein did this but who in the world ever expected American President Barrack Hussein Obama to do something like this?

Oh of course President Obama’s intent is not as nefarious as Hitler or Saddam Hussein. At least we hope not. But whose to stop him from having the IRS audit a blogger who claims that Obamacare is going to cost all Americans more in taxes and result in a loss of quality healthcare? By the administration’s definition such a statement is disinformation. Will they emulate Iraq and pull down my blog because of that opinion?

Exactly how un-American is the administration prepared to get?

They have already flagged conservatives as terrorists. They have done everything possible to paint those who participate in Tea Party demonstrations as dangerous Republican backed extremists and they have had a mentality similar to the British fists that attempted to quell the first American revolution against the Crown.

I have forwarded the follow message to the White House’s flag@whitehouse.gov email address. It reads as follows:

As for flagging disinformation, I am the author of a political web site that sets the record straight. It defies those policies which increase America’s march to socialism under liberal leadership. The information in it may not quite jive with the propaganda presented by the White House but I offer it to you as a site for you to react to in your vile campaign to flag emails and to police the opinions of the American people.

Perhaps placement in a gulag will be your wish for me. Maybe you will take a page from Iran and take my site down. However the current statist regime wants to treat it, please do. I relish the attention that your heavy handed communist fists would bring by silencing this American. You can find my site at https://politics247.wordpress.com/ . I look forward to your retribution and the ensuing struggle that it will give birth to.

So I fully expect to be placed on a White House terrorist watch list by morning.

And since wordpress is a platform for my dissenting voice I fully anticipate that it too shall soon fall victim to the government scrutiny and with it so will all of you who state an opinion that contradicts the new American socialist hero and liberal messiah President and Supreme Commanding Ruler Barrack H. Obama.

Heil Obama!

JUDD GREGG WITHDRAWS NOMINATION FROM OBAMA ADMINISTRATION

antgreggBookmark and Share    Earlier today, the previous post in fact, POLITICS 24/7  suggested that if Presdient Obama does not have faith in Senator Judd Gregg’s ability to properly carry out all of the responsibilities of the Commerce Secretary, than he should withdraw Gregg’s nomination for the job.

The controversy swirled around President Obama’s attempt to take responsibilities for the census out of the hands of the Commerce Department because Gregg is a Republican.

President Obama’s call to put the census in the hands of the White House and under the direction of his partisan chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, did not exactly assure people that the census would be anymore non-partisan under him than Senator Gregg.

Well in what is becoming a norm for the administration, another cabinet nominee has declined the nomination.

Senator Gregg claims that ideological differences over the stimulus package make it clear that he is not in sync with the administration and that he was apprehensive over the President’s attempt to take responsibility away from the department. White House officials have yet to respond.

Either way, the move is good one.

It was apparent that President Obama did not have confidence in Senator Gregg and that there would be too much second guessing of him if he were to actually become Secretary of Commerce.

This is the second nominee for Commerce Secretary to withdraw their nomination.

Governor Richardson of New Mexico withdraw weeks ago after it was disclosed that he was under investigation for selling state contracts in turn for campaign donations.

As it stands now, commerce seems to be a problem for the administration.

Hopefully they can get their act together and find someone who they can trust to do the job without taking the department’s responsibilites away  in order to serve partisan political agendas.

KARL ROVE IN CHARGE OF THE CENSUS?

Bookmark and Share    If that were true, liberals would be jumping out of their shoes and throwing them at the White House with a sense of fury unparalleled in political history. antcensus_bureau_sealIf it were true that a partisan Republican architect of political strategy were to be put in charge of a process that much of our government will be based on for a decade, people would be calling for investigations, hearings and heads on a plate.

Well that is what people are beginning to do. But not because Karl Rove is implementing some sort of partisan designs on the census but because Rahm Emanuele is being called upon to do so.

Rahm Emanuele is an undeniable partisan politician who first came to fame as a member of the Clinton administration.

He rose through the political ranks as a fundraiser for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and as a diehard, Chicago, clubhouse, Democrat, Emanuele never had a problem in insuring that all things political went his way. Such is why when he became a Chicago congressman, the Democrat party turned to Emanuele and made him the Majority Whip, the guy that whipped Democrat votes into line.

So partisan is Emanuele that a few years back he mailed a dead fish to pollster who published poll results that Emanuele did not like because they failed to show his Democrat candidate ahead by as much as he wanted.

Rahm Emanuele is so driven by partisanship that one night, shortly after Bill Clinton was elected President, during a dinner, Emanuelle started rattling off a list of names which he considered to be political enemies and to punctuate his intentions he stabbed the table with a steak knife each time , as he said “Nat Landow! Dead! Cliff Obama TransitionJackson! Dead!” etc…..

This is the man who President Obama wants to hold sway over the non-partisan and non-political census process.

The census takes place every ten years and it determines just about every statistic regarding the American population and government funding to that population. Based upon population shifts, it also determines how new congressional district lines are drawn and that dictates influence of everything from who your representatives are to how much sway your state has in electing a president.

Until now, responsibility for how the census is conducted and how census figures are determined was under the responsibility of the Commerce Department. However now that President Obama has nominated Judd Gregg, a Republican Senator, to be Commerce Secretary, liberals have yelled at President Obama and protested a Republican being involved in the census process.

In response to their cries, President Obama stated that the White House will supervise the census.

That means that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuele will be in charge of it and that brings up quite a few problems.

First of all, it demonstrates a lack faith in President Obama’s choice for Secretary of Commerce.

By taking responsibility for the census away from the Commerce Secretary, President Obama is in essence claiming that he does not trust Senator Gregg’s ability to do the job properly. If that is the case, why did he choose Judd Gregg for the job? Was this another example of the bad job of the Obama administration’s vetting process?

If it is not an indication of Gregg’s inability to do the job right than it is a blatant attempt to put the non-partisan census process in the hands of  diehard partisan operative Rahm Emanuele.

Either way this another dent in the creation of what is suppose to be the most ethical administration in history.

The census process has not even begun to get off the ground and already the Obama administration is tainting it. The President has made it clear that he is going to make the census a top priority and now he is making it obvious that he will try to make it a political process that favors Democrats.

It is a slick move on behalf of President Obama. After all, under the Commerce Department, everything that they do to establish census procedures needs to be approved by congress. Not so in the White House though.  The White House staff can operate secretly and does not require congressional approval. That means that under the direction of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuele, census figures can be established any old way.

After seeing five different administration nominees already get caught up in scandal, it is not very comforting to see the new administration actively participate in political slights of hand that taint a process that we will have to live with for a decade.

THE REAL REPUBLICAN DEBATE

After licking our wounds from this past election, the blogosphere is packed with suggestions and commentary regarding how to rebuild the Republican party. Many Republican activists and enthusiasts are debating who will be the face of our party as we go forward. At times I too have been eager to want to put forward a name that best represents us, but doing so does not help us establish the solid foundation that we need to build upon.
Louisiana Governor bobby Jindal

Louisiana Governor bobby Jindal

Aside from the race for leadership of the party, activists are caught up in a struggle over who is next, who is going to be our candidate for President and who we must rely upon to deliver our message and carry us forward? There are those who are demanding that we pin our hopes on Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, while others debate the future of Sarah Palin or other party figures like Romney and Huckabee.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin

I have an appreciation for all of the above mentioned named people but I have an even greater appreciation for what my party stands for regardless of the name of who we discuss and there in lies what the real debate should be about.

Former Governor Mitt Romney

Former Governor Mitt Romney

We, as a party, need to be less concerned with the face of the party and more concerned with the heart of the party. We need to reestablish that which was the source of our political preeminence beginning with the ‘94 Republican revolution and the ending of its dominance which culminated in the 2006 elections when we lost control of the senate and house.

Former Governor Mike Huckabee

Former Governor Mike Huckabee

The 1994 Republican revolution ushered in 73 new Republican House members and 11 new Republican Senators. The largess of that freshmen class of Republicans influenced the leadership of congress with the “power to the people” sentiments that they brought to government. It was a sentiment that believed, as elected officials, they needed to make sacrifices for the people and live by the same rules that they created for the people.

This meant getting rid of special privileges and reversing the practices that allowed members of congress to abuse power. It also meant a strong adherence to conservative fiscal, foreign and law and order policies. Many in this class quickly became a part of a new informal group dubbed “New Federalists” and set an agenda of widespread U.S. government cuts in many departments and also intended on privatizing, localizing, consolidating and even , eliminating many departments and agencies. This federalist direction was part of their success.

At least up until 2002.

In my estimation our fall from power as a party came about not due to what we stand for but due to a lack of attention to coordinated efforts in clearly defining what we stand for and a backing away from those intentions.

After winning the White House in 2000, with total control of all three branches of federal government, many of our elected officials became complacent. With that White House win also came the loss of the “power to the people” spirit that ushered in our majorities in 1994.

Former Florida Rep. Joe Scarborough

Former Florida Rep. Joe Scarborough

After winning the presidency, many of those who were a part of that ’94 federalist style, freshmen class slowly left office. Many of them believed in term limits and felt, that in truth to their beliefs, they must step aside and move on. So by 2002, gone were many of the freshmen of the ‘94 GOP revolution. Gone were the strong federalist tendencies of John Kasich , J.C. Watts, Joe Scarborough and their like. And with them, the “power to the power” legislation and message slowly departed as well.

Former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts

Former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts

Slowly, congressional Republicans became complacent with their power. Slowly they lost touch with the people and lost their message. In 2004, the effects of this loss of spirit were not dramatically pronounced. Republicans maintained what power they had, including the White House, but the erosion was beginning. By 2006 it had set in. Our federalist influences were gone and so was our power.

And that is what we must get back in order to regain power. The “power to the people” message and federalist intentions which defined the ‘94 freshman Republican class was what helped to bring us to power.

In 1994 we did not win simply because we were not Democrats. We won because of the anti-establishmentarian mentality that we represented. We were also able to point fingers of blame at Democrats who controlled the establishment. We were able to point to the pay raises and special privileges that Democrats afforded the governing class while offering only a lack of attention to the needs of the people that democrat policies seemingly overlooked.

But by 2006 it became clear to the people that we were the establishment and that we were not responsive to their needs. By 2008 an exclamation mark was added to that sentiment.

So here we are today, wondering how to gain back our majority status.

Many are trying to achieve that goal by appointing one name or another as the name that will propel us back into power. Yet, the truth is that no one name will restore faith in our party.

We can fondly mention the Reagan name and we can offer up Mitt Romney as a the new bearer of the Reagan torch or Sarah Palin as the Republican savior and Bobby Jindal as the leader of the next revolution but no matter what name may be put forth, it is the what our party stands for that is more important than who represents it.

So I propose that we stop linking our fortunes to any one figure and start clearly defining our party. Not redefining it, but clarifying it’s definition.

Doing that requires those Republicans who still remain in office to get back on message and adopt a stronger adherence to federalist tendencies in their legislative initiatives and voting records.

Beyond generalities, that means controlling spending and maintaining an aggressive posture with those foreign elements whom threaten our security and would weaken the threads of freedoms delicate fabric. It means reducing the size of a costly and inefficient government and the bureaucracy that makes government inefficient.

Under the auspices of Homeland Security, Republicans, during the Bush administration, have tried to excuse away budget deficits. Although Homeland Security did account for one of the largest reorganizations of federal government in our history, it did not create an excuse for avoiding budget cuts in other areas or streamlining departments and cutting waste.

In light of this, we must create a legislative agenda that reflects our political ideology. For too long the G.O.P. has been overshadowed by the War on Terror. That effort must not be diminished nor should any focus be taken away from it. However; our efforts must simultaneously embark upon the same domestic agenda that brought us to power in the mid ‘90’s and that we lost track of during the security agenda of this current decade.

Former Ohio Rep. and Future Ohio Governor John Kasich

Former Ohio Rep. and Future Ohio Governor John Kasich

So put aside the name of your favorite potential Republican nominee four years from now. Focus on the clarity of our message and how best to shape that message. Let the great work of Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin, as a governors, speak for themselves and see what it shall bring. Let people like former congressman John Kasich reemerge on the frontlines of the political battlefield as he throws his hat in the ring for Governor of Ohio. Let the candidacies of the best and brightest develop as we help to recapture the spirit and agenda which brought us to power but strayed away from.

Through that agenda, the best of our leaders will emerge and victory will again be ours.

TRANCSCRIPT OF THE BUSH-OBAMA WHITE HOUSE MEETING?

Bush and Obama Walk To The Oval Office

Bush and Obama Walk To The Oval Office

Okay, so maybe it’s not the actual transcript but I think it went something like this………..

G.W.B – Welcome to the White House Mr. President-Elect. Its a real pleasure and honor. We’re makin’ history here.

B.H.OThank you. Having gone through this yourself, I’m sure you understand the emotions that the times we’re in and that this occasion brings to me. So it goes without saying that I appreciate your gracious invitation and your earnest cooperation in the transition, Mr. President.

G.W.B. – Please call me George. You and I share a lot more in common now than ya think and we’re among a very small group. Only 42 others have gone on the path that you’re about to go on and that I’ve already taken. So call me George. Ya know, I have a habit of giving people nicknames. I usually just tag ‘em with the first snappy word that comes to mind ‘cause of some obvious characteristic they’ve got. I call this one really tall guy in the White House Press Corps Stretch.

Looking at you …….

B.H.O.How ‘bout you call me Barry…..my good friends always have.

G.W.B. – Close enough……Sounds good to me …..So, Barry, where ya wanna begin? Got any initial nagging questions?

B.H.O.Well Mr. Presi,…ahh…George, I would like your take on what you believe will be the first, most pressing, immediate and important challenge or development to confront me after I’ve taken the oath?

G.W.B. – We all know the economy is a priority.

B.H.O.That’s an understatement George, how’d you let it get so out of hand?

G.W.B. – Ask your friends,…… Dodd took more money from the housing folk at Fannie and Freddie than anyone else and Barney Frank was getting’ it on with one of the guys running them and as the two boys chairin’ that committee overseein’ how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were bein’ run, they decided to let ‘em off the hook……. Wouldn’t even look into their books. So that helped start the crisis.  And so did Clinton’s homeownership initiatives.  They forced Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other loaners to hand out sub prime loans and overextend ‘emslevse to people they knew couldn’t afford to pay ‘em back.  The bill had to come due soon.  That all was just part of the problem, the part that tightened up the loaning market and started it all.

I shoulda’ seen it coming though, so I take the blame for not heading it off………

……But anyway, like I was sayin’ the economy is an obvious priority but it isn’t one that should allow you to lose focus on other stuff. You know what you wanna do so go to it. It’s your economy now. You won and your policies won the approval that gives you the right to try to put ‘em through. As for your biggest immediate challenge… Let me give you a little presidential history.

Before I came into office people were beginning to grumble, we were experiencing a mild recession as I came here to DC. So that became my priority. I focused attention on it to try an’ get support for tax cuts that we got enacted. I focused on cutting the amount of money that we taxed people so that they had the money to pump back into the economy and help prevent the recession from gettin’ rougher and lastin’ longer than it could have.

I also tried to move ahead quickly with my campaign promises…..faith based initiatives, no child left behind, ..things like that.

Then less than eight months into it, while sitting in a classroom with little kids, it all changed.

B.H.O.I hear you George.

G.W.B. – You may hear me but you don’t understand, at least not yet Barry. But you will, in time you will.

B.H.O.- So your saying national security is my priority.

G.W.B. – What I am saying is as I sat their in that class room and Andy, my chief of staff, rushed in, leaned over and whispered in my ear that we were under attack, I felt fear and fury. The fear wasn’t for me but for the country. The fury was over the fact that this could happen. To make it worse, here I was….. sittin’ around with the most vulnerable and innocent among us, our children, our future.

With those kids faces lookin’ in my direction, that sense of anger and the fear for our people coincided with a quick feeling of failure.

I was the President that was responsible for our safety when this happened……Me!…..I was suppose to stop these things from happening to my people.  I was in a Florida classroom, tryin’ to promote an education program that would improve the education of our kids, our children,….. and while doin’ this, their nation was directly attacked. Our own people were being slaughtered in their places of work.

Barry, …..at the moment,….. I took a direct punch to the gut and then an upper cut to the chin. I was reeling from the fact that this was happening and that, as President, for whatever reasons, I did not prevent it from happening.

B.H.O.- Mr. President, no one knew…..it was not your fault and no one ever claimed it was your fault.

G.W.B.- No they didn’t….well except for a few fanatics who claim I actually orchestrated the attacks. But you’re right, no one blamed me, but I blamed myself. I am the President and it was – is, my responsibility to defend us.

Logic lets me accept that, at the time, no one could’ve known the exact threat and how bad it could be. That’s logic.  But even Presidents have feelin’s and although logic tells me one thing, my emotions still twist my guts with the fact that I was the President that unknowingly allowed this to happen.  Every death on that day weighs on my heart like a cinder block.

It was then that I vowed not to allow any suspicion to go unchallenged. No matter how minor the threat may seem, I knew then that it couldn’t be ignored. I saw the internals. Clinton saw them and knew them too. Problem is both of us did not have the wherewithal and awareness to prioritize them properly. Who actually ever thought that some lunatic, camel riding, desert rat could be as big a threat as he proved to be.

B.H.O.I understand Mr., eh, George….the sense of responsibility for all that happens must be all consuming. I’ve already begun to establish such a feeling myself,…knowing that it’ll all be up to me soon.

G.W.B. – Well you know, my father once wrote that the answer to doing it all, and carrying on is “Family, faith, friends, do your best, try your hardest, rely on your innate good sense, kindness and understanding of the American people”*. He claimed that is where a president gets his strength. After a few months in office myself, I realized old 41 was right on that one……you will too.

B.H.O.I’ll certainly heed that advice……

G.W.B. – Good,…… but the answer to your question about what your first challenge, when you get sworn in ‘ill be………Well, it is not what you think.

The greatest challenge you’ll first face is the same great challenge that your entire presidency ‘ill face. It’s not what you know. It’s what you don’t know. It’s the surprises that our enemies thrive on and it’s the surprises that can derail all your plans. The greatest challenge that us Presidents face are the unknown events which we don’t plan for.

B.H.O.So what do you suggest?

G.W.B. – Develop contingency plans……. Options for everything from your economic plan to your national security intentions. Have ‘em all planned and be prepared to roll ‘em out as soon as yesterday.

That and vigilance.

And don’t just hope for the best, help to insure the best. Leave no suspicion ignored and let no potential hazard linger or allow it the chance to come to fruition. Take out threats before they take us out.

B.H.O.I hear what you’re saying George, but if I’m hearing you right you’re telling me to continue your aggressive policies.  Andthe truth is that my campaign was based on the premise that your policies are wrong and they’re  not my policies. I promised to be different and that’s what the people wanted.

G.W.B. – Lemme tell ya something,  Barry,……….. You are going to be President, the highest office, the pinnacle of politics but ironically, once reaching that political pinnacle, politics has ta stop and the best policies have ta start. Politics won’t prevent the next attack. Politics wont make the poor rich.

Heck, I ran around the country telling everyone, in 2000, that I don’t want us in the business of nation building. And I didn’t want us doin’ that kind of stuff. I didn’ want us working on, or risking lives in, those countries with names I can’t even pronounce.

But look at me now.

I learn’d that by not involving’ ourselves an’ providing’ leadership where leadership is needed……bad things will come back to haunt ya. The wrong people ‘ill step in an’ try to provide that leadership. The type of leadership that led 19 terrorists to kill 3,000 Americans. So I may not have wanted to be doin’ what were doin’ but I learn’d quick , that we better do what we have to do or there’ll be consequences to suffer.

So what I’m telling you is this, all those promises you made,…….. well they were political and as President the leadership you must provide and the policies you gotta implement, trump politics and political promises that you made before you knew the real facts. As President you have to do what is right for the people not what you think is right to get elected. Being President is a heck of a lot different than bein’ a candidate. We all mean what we say but what we say isn’t always the means available to us.

This is it Barry,…. there’s no higher up to go than we are right now. You can’t be held back by what you thought,….. you gotta be driven by whatchya know. And as you begin to see all the classified NSR’s you’re gonna realize something. You’re gonna realize that my policies may not be aggressive enough and you’re gonna want to be even more aggressive than me.

B.H.O.Look I intend to keep up our defenses and try to eliminate threats but I…….

G.W.B. – Barry, you’re gonna see things that’ll make you say, “why haven’t we stopped them over there” or “why have we let these guys do this or that”. Some of what you will discover will make you say” why didn’t George take care of this?” Then your Secretary of State will come in and tell you why we can’t do what seems so obvious. And your Secretary of Defense will show up and remind you that Russia is ready to surround Poland with missiles if we don’t agree to accept one thing or another or that Greece is once a’gin stirring up Macedonia and that Turkey will blow their feathers if we train troops in Kazakhstan how to shoot straight….Its endless and more twisted than Johnny Edwards relationship with that campaign girl he paid off while his wife was recouping from cancer…..twisted I tell ya…twisted.

So believe me,  I use lots of restraint, so much so that its sickening at times. But we live in a delicate world and not everything is public knowledge. Believe me, you’re gonna wanna carry out military actions that ya think are obvious and easy but you’ll realize that. for other reasons,…….. we can’t. But you’ll wanna do ’em.

B.H.O.I don’t think so George, I mean after all, I’m not a trigger happy kind of guy and besides…..we…. we’d have a lot more resources available to combat terrorism and fight that war with more success if we………..

G.W.B. – Look! Lemme tell you where we’re at!……………

Iran wants nukes. Israel wants to blow Iran into oblivion because of that…and they have the ability to do it.

That tension, and it’s possibility of happening, destabilizes our much needed, amiable, relationships between us and the Arab states with relatively moderate foreign policies. It also helps to destabilize our relationship with Russia who is in love with the Iranians and who are reverting back to their former Soviet ways and are agin’ encroaching on parts of Europe. It also helps to rattle an openly communist China who is in the midst of their own love affair with a psychotic, North Korean, nuclear wanting, government that is playing “Weekend With Bernie” by propping up it’s dead, maniacal, communist leader and pretending that he is running the show…………

….And don’t let me begin to tell ya about Pakistan and India. Both are armed to teeth, both hate each other and every other day they are ready to fire nukes at each other. Tryin’ to maintain a friendship with them is like a cat tryin to stop two dogs from eatin’ out of the same bowl………….

……..Then there are several, known, unaccounted for, weapons of mass destructions floating around out there……who knows where….because we sure as heck don’t……..

…….I also have three dozen known, terrorist networks, somewhere out there, with shoulder launching missiles and enough fertilizer to re-produce 50 Oklahoma City-like bombings.

We’ve got terrorists hijacking ship loads of tanks off of Somalia, arms dealers smuggling grenades out South America, missing caches of munitions from army bases, nukes missing from the Ukraine, and missing tanker trunks in Jersey!

Imagine that…….. a whole oil tanker…..missing in New Jersey!…..for over two years now!……… Ya’d think someone could find that!

All this, while at the same time, I have an open border that liberals don’t want disturbed by a physical barrier, as more than three thousand people, illegally, walk through, undetected, everyday, as if it were new York’s Central Park!……….

………And those wmd’s that you guys say did not exist,….well I have an undersecretary of defense, some guy named Shaw,…. who tells me that before Operation Iraqi Freedom hit the ground, Saddam shipped ‘em to Syria under the cover of humanitarian assistance after Syria got shook to high heaven by an earthquake! Imagine that….Saddam Hussien!……humanitarian assistance!…….. Yeah,… and my ma’s a Playboy bunny centerfold.

And tryin’ to get the truth out of Syria is like tryin’ to pull teeth from a shark that’s biting your arm off.

B.H.O.Mr. President….George……That’s the problem. You’re leadership is based on fear and believing that the only way to not be full of fear is to be at war with anyone who thinks differently. My leadership is based on hope. It’s based in the faith in our ability to live without fear by eliminating the hatred that fear creates.

G.W.B. – Sounds great Barry, but your not delivering a speech to a crowd of your fans. You’re talking to me. You forget….I’ve been there and done that. You’re gonna be President and I am President….So here, between us, it’s straight talk and I don’t mean Johhny Mac’s straight talk….I mean real hard facts…….

My leadership is not based on fear, it’s based on security and trying to make sure that we don’t have to live in fear. Havin’ been blindsided once, I won’t let it happen agin’ and if it does, it won’t be because I didn’t make the right people do the right things to prevent it.

B.H.O.So your advice is to increase our intelligence capabilities. continue your war in Iraq, and prepare for war in Iran and Russia?

G.W.B. – Don’t forget North Korea and the possibility of Syria……..

……….What I’m suggestin’ is that ya don’t let yourself think the world is safer than it is. As for Iraq…if ya go an’ pull out those troops before the Iraqis can do for themselves what we’re doin’ for ’em now….well than, you’re gonna be sending even more of our people back there. If you pull out before they’re ready to defend themselves you’ll be finding’ yourself at war with an Iran that is already trying to win the 10 year war with Iraq that they didn’t win before.

That’ll put you head to head to with Russia as well as China. That will cause the fragile house of cards that we live in to come crumbling’ down quicker than white on rice.

But hey…..you’re the man…..you’re the guy that got what ya wanted….the Presidency of the U. S. of A….

B.H.O.Ok than……it’s clear to me what you think. But I gotta tell you, it’s sounds like the Presidency makes one real cynical …….at least its done so to you.

G.W.B. – Barry buddy, it’s not cynical….its realistic and that is the one place where politics does have a place in the presidency…………

Never let the people know how scared they should be of the dangers out there or all the stuff they’ve got ‘ta worry ‘bout. That’s our job. That’s what we’re here for……

………If the American people really knew what was going on, they’d take matters into their own hands. And you think I’m aggressive?……..If the average American knew who was aiming what at them, and what this one or that one was planning on doing to ‘em,….they’d make Dick Cheney look like Mr. Rogers………….

A’lright, nuff of that……now lemme show you the Kennedy pool. You’ll drop your jaw when I show ya the hidden sauna and playroom.

B.H.O.I knew it! I knew there had to be some presidential society secrets to hear about.

G.W.B. – Are you kidding me…….you know those Nixon tapes?….Well wait till I show ya the Clinton tapes. He must’a accident’lly left a few behind. They’re videos and I can sure as heck tell ya’ that Monica’s blue dress wasn’t the only dress he soiled. By the way, those tapes,……… they’ll come in handy for ya’ if Hillary starts getting pushy again.

B.H.O.Now were talkin’ the shi’…eh em…..  I mean the dirt I was lookin‘ forward to…………………………………..

LIBERALS GONE WILD AND THE AXIS OF IDIOCY

First there was “Girls Gone Wild” and their countless sequels. Then came “Boys Gone Wild” and even “Guys Gone Wild” and their continuous stream of subsequent follow ups. Volume after volume of guys and girls baring it all for hordes of horny, voyeurs hoping to satisfy their lusts through store bought compact discs.

Well hold on to your pants folks. Brace yourself for the newest edition of the “Gone Wild” series.

It’s “Liberals Gone Wild” and you wont have to call a 1-800 number and charge $19.95 for it with your credit card. All you have to do is vote for Barack Obama on Election Day and it will satisfy the lust of liberals all across the land. Their lusts. Lusts for bigger government and higher taxes. Their lusts for negotiating with terrorists and deciding America’s fate based on the opinions of the United Nations.

By simply voting for Barack Obama on Election Day all of this and more can be yours but it’s not free. It comes with a hefty price. It’s also broken. Liberals Gone Wild is not something you can turn off. You can’t just pop it out of your compact disc player and play something else. Liberals Gone Wild will stay on and run amuck, unimpeded and uninterrupted for at least two years.

Once your vote for Obama buys you a copy of Liberals Gone Wild, you will be revealing more than bare breasts or swinging schlongs , you’ll be revealing the naked truth of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, the nations liberal leaders in the Senate and House of Representatives, and the revelation is not very attractive.

Their scantily clad objectives are not filled with any titillating sights or actions. The naked truth of their socialist agenda simply sets our nation on a course that is so radical and so closely aligned with socialism that our nation’s government will have more in common with Cuba than any of the intended principles of our own nation’s constitution.

In the past that constitution has insured that America’s greatest strength was always in it’s people.

Individual Americans have been the impetus to our success and history is strewn with examples of how our people’s sense of drive and responsibility won the day for us. Even when our nation faced it’s greatest challenges, any successful directions offered by our government was only made successful if and when the people were behind it. Yet, by voting for Barack Obama, we are essentially making it clear that we want the bureaucracy of a government to decide all that we should decide for ourselves.

Despite the importance of individuality and independent initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, Speaker of the House and Senate Majority Leader, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have confidently and consistently pushed an agenda that attempts to legislate everything from the educational choices, quality and opportunities of our children to how much money can be made in the private sector. Their sense of fairness dictates that all must suffer the consequences of government fiats.

Since they took control of congress almost two years ago their efforts to adopt their socialist agenda have been stymied, to a point. Their small majorities were not large enough to totally steamroll the principles of freedom that Americans have come to appreciate.

But all that is about to change. By elevating the most liberal member of the government’s collective, elected leadership to the presidency, Barack Obama will make it possible for the combined socialist agenda of his liberal comrades to prevail. With Obama at the helm, Pelosi and Reid will have no obstacles.

Their class warfare will rage on and personal success will be treated as a goal that needs to be penalized in an attempt to “spread the wealth”. Beyond that, in this Obama, Pelosi and Reid, special edition of Liberals Gone Wild, the successful in America are blamed for the conditions of the less successful. They are put forth as the enemy and the source of all that ails people and government.

On top of their class warfare games, the far left menage-a-tois of Obama, Pelosi and Reid will rejuvenate failed policies of the past as false keys to a better tomorrow. Initiatives such as Jimmy Carter’s, 1977 Community Reinvestment Act and Bill Clinton‘s expansion of that in the form of the American Homeownership Initiative will not simply be reformed, they will be expanded. This will be done despite the fact that both programs helped to create the current banking crisis by forcing banks to engage in risky lending practices to those who could not afford to pay back such loans.

Together the trio will swear to move us into energy independence while they restrict the independence of participants in the market and make it impossible to drill for domestic sources of energy or limit the exploration for such natural resources.

Unchecked and in total control, the liberal Axis of Idiocy will implement the most liberal agenda we have ever seen. From expanding the current burgeoning government bureaucracy by raising taxes and making it more expensive to operate to increasing risks to our national security, liberals will be like children locked in a candy shop after the doors have closed and the staff has gone home. Even before their lies achieve any confirmed coup of liberal dominance, this trio has already begun to conspire over a trillion dollars of new spending. New spending that will be funded by the millions of Americans whom they wish to control. A control that they hope to have by legislating everything from our opinions and ways of thinking to the medical treatment available to us.

This liberal Axis will allow for the unimpeded approval of liberal justices who want to write law rather than interpret law. This goes not only for the selection of one or maybe even two supreme court justices, it involves thousands of judicial appointments that are given to a President after congressional approval. Approval that Pelosi and Reid will reinforce so long as Obama’s appointments pass the proper liberal litmus tests.

We are about to enter dangerous territory. It is the same type of territory that Republicans entered when in 2000 they added the White House to the list of government branches that they controlled.

After almost 6 years of total control, Republicans unchecked power allowed them to become complacent. The lack of true competition in government philosophies allowed them to stray away from their own intended missions. The power went to their heads and they paid a price for it. They lost in 2006. The cycle is about to repeat itself. Liberals will be in total control. The far fetched initiatives of their far left leadership will now become a staple of American government. The extremist policies of Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Ted Kennedy, Dennis Kucinich, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and other liberal icons are now about to become mainstream, American government policies. It will be a tough two years. And it will take at least 3 times as long to recover from, but it will done.

When America sees liberals in action, the full effect of liberals who are not held back in any way, they will quickly resort to change, yet again. Just like in 1994, when two years of a government led by liberals in the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate caused the electorate to put the breaks on that. If Obama does actually somehow convince Americans that he can do more than run for higher offices, and elect him President, they will undoubtedly correct that course quickly too. Hopefully the damage done by them in two years can be in fact corrected quickly. The only problem there is that we can not afford a damaging blow to our national security. When it comes to our nation’s security, it only takes one mistake to cost us more than we can afford.

Hopefully it will not take something so drastic to teach us a lesson . Something like the national security crisis that Joe Biden swears we will encounter if Barack Obama is elected President. It is not a risk I am willing to take. That is one reason why John McCain has my support. It is one reason why I am not willing to hand over the entirety of our government to a group of people who, for the last two years have, provided one of the most unproductive legislative sessions in recent history. It is just one among many reasons but it is one of the most important reasons.

4 Doctors Talk Politics!

An Israeli doctor said, “Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in six weeks.”

A German doctor said “That’s nothing! In Germany, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in four weeks.”

A Russian doctor said, “In my country, medicine is so advanced, we can take half a heart from one person, put it in another and have them both looking for work in two weeks.”

The American doctor, not to be outdone, said “Hah! We are about to take an asshole out of Illinois, put him in the White House and half the country will be looking for work the next day.”

LIBERALS, TODAY’S REDNECK RACISTS

Rep. John "My Constituents Are Rednecks" Murtha

Rep. John "MY Constituents Are Rednecks" Murtha

Pennsylvania has not awarded it’s electoral votes to a Republican President in twenty years.  It is a state that I would not have invested any time or money in if I were John McCain. This isn’t because Pennsylvania isn’t worth the effort, it’s simply because, given the limited amount of resources available, Pennsylvania and it’s recent electoral history is not a place McCain can afford to throw his resources into.

That was the conventional thinking, but this election is proving to be anything but conventional.

With Obama successfully tricking people in places like Colorado, Virginia and North Carolina, the need to put Pennsylvania in play has become more pressing for McCain.

Beyond the need for it has also come a greater opportunity to win Pennsylvania. That opportunity has come from of all people, Democrats.

Barack Obama was the first person to roll out the red carpet for John McCain in Pennsylvania. He did so while running against Hillary Clinton for the nomination when he said that there were parts of the state that contained citizens who were bitterly clinging to their guns and religion.

Obama lost Pennsylvania to Hillary in a landslide. Since then he has done whatever he could to win the people of the state over. One of the reasons he chose his running mate, Joe Biden, was because of Pennsylvania. Joe Biden has roots there, in Scranton, where he grew up. It is a fact that you could not escape when Barack announced Biden as the Vice Presidential nominee. Between both of them, Scranton was brought up so much that you almost forgot that Joe Biden has been representing Delaware for more than thirty years.

Aside from putting someone who once came from Pennsylvania on the ticket Obama as well as Biden have been campaigning hard for the state. They have made countless appearances there and when not in the state, Pennsylvania has been bombarded by Obama television advertisements. Most of this activity is focused on the eastern part of the state and Philadelphia. Philadelphia has one of the highest African-American populations of any city in the nation. It is more than 43% black and almost 45 % white. When you consider that about 94% of the African American population in the country is supporting Barack Obama, Philly is very fertile territory for Obama. These are pertinent statistics that bring me to another Democrat who has helped to turn Pennsylvania into a more competitive state for John McCain. John Murtha.

Congressman Murtha is a liberal who has proven himself to be almost as big a living gaffe as Joe Biden.

Not long ago he ran around screaming that a number of U.S. Marines needed to be court marshaled because he was accusing them of murdering, bombing and torturing innocent Iraqis, including women and children. The marines in question were exonerated and the accusations were proven false but what does that matter? Murtha never apologized or corrected himself. I mean why should he? All he did was try to destroy the lives of innocent men serving their country. Who cares?

I do. So that was strike one.

More recently Murtha has explained the nature of the closeness in the race for president in his home state of Pennsylvania as being due to the fact that, as he put it, people in western Pennsylvania are racists. The statement included the very same people whom he represents, in western Pennsylvania.

That was strike two.

The remark got some heat and days later he tried to excuse what he said. In an interview, Murtha explained that what he meant was that some people in that part of the state want change but not that much. “Many of them are rednecks”. he claimed.

Strike three…..YER OUT!!!!!!!

Not only has this character betrayed the brave young men in our armed forces but he calls his own constituents racists and rednecks. For goodness sakes people, wake up! If an elected Republican official said that Colin Powel endorsed Obama simply because he was black, you liberals would be all over him. If a Republican had the gall to say that Philadelphia was supporting Obama because Philly is full of the “N” word” we would all be going out of our minds. There would be riots in the streets. Yet a lard ass, 17 term, liberal congressman calls white people in his own district rednecks because many of them are not voting for Barack Obama and there is not a single wimper.

What happened to the liberal edict of political correctness. You know, the philosophical tenet that requires that fat people be called horizontally challenged, short people to be called vertically challenged and the stupid to be called educationally challenged? I mean even if what Murtha said were true and the people of western Pennsylvania were racists, liberal sensitivity would require that he call those bigots racially challenged. But Nooooo, he doesn’t even apply his own party’s political correctness to his false charge. Murtha just comes right out and calls them rednecks. And that was his apology and explanation for calling them racists.

As of two weeks ago Murtha was coasting to re-election in his western Pennsylvania district. One poll had him at 57% while his closest opponent, a Washington County Commissioner, Diana Rey had 30%. I would hope that has changed since Murtha explained himself and concluded that his voters were not racists, just rednecks. If that early poll has not changed and the people of his district do re-elect him to his thirty fifth year as a congressman, than I have to tell you, those people in his district are not racists and they are not rednecks, they are buffoons! If Murtha represents their outlook, their sense of decency and logic than they should loosen their grip on the guns Obama has them clinging to, pick up their bibles and beat themselves over their heads with it. Maybe the good book could beat some sense into them.

If Murtha’s remarks and remarkable history are not enough for the people of his own district to vote him out of office, his comments have at least helped to do one thing. They have helped to put Pennsylvania in play for John McCain. Murtha has helped to point out the hypocrisy of liberals and the prejudices of Obama.

John Murtha has helped to remind people that racism is alive and well in the Democrat party and that they thrive on reverse discrimination. They need to play the victims or use the race card in an attempt to guilt people into voting for them. They apply double standards which do not cry foul when the preponderance of African-Americans vote for an African-American but they call it racism if a Caucasian dares to vote for a Caucasian.

All of these points have been highlighted by the comments of both Murtha and Obama and in doing so they have changed the playing field and put Pennsylvania in striking distance for McCain. So although I would not have had the McCain campaign spend too much in the way of time or resources in Pennsylvania, Obama’s and Murtha’s unconventional comments about western Pennsylvanians changes conventional thinking and requires McCain to go after the state and it’s citizens who have been disenfranchised and belittled by Murtha and Obama.

The Cannibal

A cannibal was walking through the jungle and came upon a restaurant operated by a fellow cannibal.

Feeling somewhat hungry, he sat down and looked over the menu…

Tourist: $5.00
Broiled Missionary: $10.00
Fried Explorer: $15.00
Baked Democrat or Grilled Republican: $100.00

The cannibal called the waiter over and asked, “Why such a price difference for the Politicians?”

The cook replied, “Have you ever tried to clean one? They’re so full of crap, it takes all morning.”

Biden On Obama’s Inevitable National Security Crisis

So Barack Obama’s running mate has confirmed that within 6 months of a Barack Obama presidency, the nation will face one of it’s greatest foreign affairs crisis in history.

Biden implored voters to mark his words. In fact he stated “if you leave here remembering only one thing, remember this” that someone in the world will challenge Obama and test him out.

A comparison was even made to John F. Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis that brought confrontation between us and the former Soviet Union. It was a crisis that had all Americans holding their breath until Kruschev backed down and their deployment of missiles to Cuba was turned around.

Senator Biden’s remark are greatly appreciated. They help to highlight the fact that we can not afford Barack Obama. He also reminds us that Barack Obama is no Jack Kennedy.

President Kennedy never agreed to unconditional negotiations with our enemies. He never vowed to raise taxes during tough economic times and he never promised to spread the wealth through Soviet style economic policies.

So given Barack Obama’s policy positions, the Cuban missile crisis is not an accurate comparison. Obama maintains none of the defensive thinking that Kennedy did. A more accurate comparison for Obama would be to Jimmy Carter. And a better example of how our enemies should react to a new administration is better exemplified by the man who defeated Jimmy Carter when he ran for re-election, Ronald Reagan.

Due to Ronald Reagan’s no nonsense foreign policy views, Iran set free the American hostages that Jimmy Carter could not bring home. The newly installed Islamic theocracy that overthrew The Shah of Iran with Carter’s urging, had the American hostages on a plane and outside of Iranian airspace at the exact moment that Ronald Reagan was sworn in as our new President.

Ronald Reagan’s promised aggressive defense of American interests contrasted Jimmy Carter’s tolerance for the intolerable. Knowing that, Iran avoided the expected reprisal that Reagan would have brought to them. It is an example of how our enemies will react to a policy that contains a bare knuckle message which indicates, that if you screw with us, you will be screwed.

Biden’s wholehearted knowledge of the fact that our enemies will test and challenge Obama with an historic national security crisis helps to hammer home this point to the electorate. It makes one wonder just how far our enemies will go in attempt to prove their point or humiliate what they call “the great Satan”, the United States.

What moves will they make in trying to see how deep the terrorist friendly policies of Obama are? How much leeway will Obama’s “friendly” policies give Iran if they give us a sincere explanation as to why the oil rich nation needs nuclear power or how much territory will Obama’s U.N. based faith allow Russia to reclaim despite the sovereignty of their neighbors?

With Obama as President, the liberal Axis of vulnerability is completed. Nancy Pelosi’s “tea with terrorists” foreign policy and Harry Reid’s “white flags of surrender” are perfectly complimented and advocated by a President Obama. It cements any doubts that our enemies may have in America’s resolve to stand up to them and their objectives.

Obama is no Jack Kennedy or Ronald Reagan, neither is John McCain but like Kennedy with communism and Reagan with terrorists, you know where he stands and so do our enemies. They need not question or test John McCain’s resolve.

So Biden’s statement promising a crisis that will be driven by our enemies doubts about him are probably accurate. In fact, according to the language Biden used to articulate the point, he is even more sure of it than I am. Who am I to doubt it? I am not Obama’s running mate. He is. It leads me to conclude that Biden knows Obama better than I do and so, on this one, I’ll take Biden’s word for it.

punchline politics

Barack Obama was seated next to a little girl on an airplane trip back to Washington. He turned to her and said, “Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to The Obama, “What would you like to talk about?”

“Oh, I don’t know,” said the Obama. “How about What Changes I Should Make To America?” and he smiles.

“OK,” she says. “That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?”

Obama, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it for a second and finally says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to change America when you don’t know shit?”
