The Political Maturation of Chris Christie

Bookmark and Share  Recently socialist political news analyst Jonathon Alter declared that Chris Christie was preparing for a run for President.  This revelation was based on sources which told him that Christie began using focus groups to prepare for the run.  As it turned out the reliably unreliable Jonathon was, as usual, wrong.  Alter is a personality from MSNBC, or which I commonly refer to it as, the Mostly Slanted News Bias Corporation.  So it is not surprising that he would get yet another political scoop wrong.  However, at the same time, it is easy to assume that Christie might run.

Even after months of denying a run for President and going so far as to say that the only thing he could do to really convince people he was not running was to commit suicide, the prospect of his presidential candidacy is still not out of the question.  Christie’s name still sits at the top of the list of names of those who people would like to run and he has continuously been courted by business groups and political leaders from across the nation.  The most recent pitch was made by a mix of business leaders from Iowa, the state that holds the first presidential nominating contest.

Saying that one will not run for President, even adamantly saying so, does not mean they won’t run.  Texas Governor Rick Perry swore that he had no interest in running and was not considering it until last month when he changed his mind.  But with Chris Christie it is probably true that he is not running.  Not now or ever.  But he is keeping his options open and recent subtle moves to moderate his image….his image, not his positions…….have proven that.

As exhibited in the clip below, Chris Christie has been hit the point where he is politically maturing.

His recent definition of leadership demonstrates that political maturity and it is both ingenious from a strategic political perspective as well as a managerial perspective.  In the clip, you will see how Christie justifies his often hard stances and blunt talk.  It a justification that directly appeals to Independent voters, a New Jersey voting bloc that no Republican can win elected office without substantial support from.

Christie’s remarks in the clip below are the type of thing that Independent voters on the national level would appreciate and the type of statement that could even ease the tension of those who may disagree with Christie by making them believe that at least he means what he says and says what he means.  That type of respect really does cross Party lines and it is also not often seen in politics.

And Christie knows this.  That is why he promoted the clip below in his own twitter when he tweeted the following:

“[VIDEO] I think people in this state like leaders regardless of their party. Leading is not a political strategy:”

Chris Christie is most likely not running for President, but there is absolutely no reason why he couldn’t and between his actions, his image and statements like the one below, maybe one day he actually should run.  As for now though, I know that we could use him in New Jersey, so hopefully he will  not give the idea any serious consideration until after he has completed his second consecutive term as Governor.Bookmark and Share

Christmas Comes Early as Keith Olbermann Gets Taken Off The Air

The low rated Olbermann

Bookmark and Share    Christmas really came to America early this year. Here we are in the first week of November, and Nancy Pelosi is out of power as the Speaker of the House, Republicans have won a majority of statehouses and state legislatures, and record number of House victories. Now we find out that Keith Olbermann, the only man who was found too stupid to deliver the news as a sportscaster and now host of MSNBC’s low rated Countdown with Keith Olbermann, has been suspended indefinitely without pay.

As ecstatic as I am, I am just amazed at the liberal logic which the corporate big wigs running NBC, used to suspend Olbermann.

According to Phil Griffin, president of the General Electric Co., owners of NBC stated “Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay.”

Before we get into what that policy and those standards are, I must confess that I am shocked to learn that NBC News had any standards. I am still not so sure they do and in the end, “standards” had little to do with Olbermann’s “indefinite suspension”. NBC’s policy is what actually did him in.

It would seem that the NBC News does not allow its employees to participate in any political activity, including such practices as financial donations to political campaign. Fortunatley, or unfortunately, depending upon how you  look at it, Olbermann donated the maximum amount allowed by law to the failed campaign of Arizona’s Democrat senate candidate Jack Conway and two more Arizona congressional candidates.

In truth, I find the situation incredibly absurd and example of twisted liberal logic.

Here is MSNBC, an obvious and blatant corporate front group for the Democratic National Committee and the liberal cause, trying to claim that they do not allow their staff to privately exercise their rights as Americans but promote the blatantly partisan slander and bias by their on air gaggle of talentless mouthpieces. This is just another example of bass-backwards liberal thinking. Nonetheless, if Keith Olbermann signed on and agreed to this policy, he signed his right to privately support candidates away and is in violation of the so-called policy.

Or could it be that NBC finally found an excuse to ditch Olbermann and his extraordinarily low rated program that weighs the networks cable outlet down during, of all times, primetime. NBC certainly could not simply ditch Keith and risk alienating the six or seven loyal liberal viewers who comprise Olbermann’s audience, so they needed  to present a good rationale for getting rid of him. This was it.

Now leftists will shout “where the is the outcry against this action, that there was when Juan Williams was fired from NPR“. Well in the first place, people like Juan Williams, few like Olbermann. But the main reason for the lack of opposition to Olbermann’s “suspension” is due to the fact that Juan Williams was fired for making a point by offering a personal opinion on a media outlet separate from NPR. In response, NPR fired Williams claiming that the practice of offering an personal opinion was a violation of his contract. The uproar that ensued was based on the fact that if that was the reason Williams was fired, how come his NPR counterparts who famously offer their opinions, did not suffer the same fate as Williams? The reason clearly is because that Williams offered an opinion that did not conform to the liberal bias of NPR, while the opinions consistently offered by others at NPR are in synch with the station’s liberal ideology.

Even though I find the reason that NBC used to suspend Olbermann was twisted, if it is in fact their policy to prohibit their employees from exercising their rights when it comes to privately supporting the candidates they believe in, if this was indeed the reason Olbermann was taken down, I commend the network for applying their standard and policy to all their employees and didn’t give Keith a pass simply because he is as a liberal. However, as I stated previously, I think this suspension was motivated more by the lack of ratings than the donations Olbermann made to candidates.

Either way, I really have no desire to defend Olbermann. He consistently espouses a Marxist-liberal view which promotes federal control of people regarding everything from what they eat, to what their children learn and what they must purchase. So even if his rights were denied here, I’m sorry to say it but my only response is, good. It’s inline with the policies he promotes on MSNBC every week night.

Maybe if Olbermann ever said anything of merit or even that contained some semblance of fact, I would be less inclined to support NBC’s decision. But let’s face it, Keith Olbermann is a nothing but an arrogant idiot. His ignorance and downright hypocrisy is mind numbing. And for a man who claims to be of superior intellect he is incredibly dumb. Case in point is his violation of policy by directly donating money to liberal candidates. A smart person would have understood how simple it would have been to make his campaign contribution found its way to his candidates of choice and still avoid violating his station’s policy and jeopardizing his limited career. But Olbermann is not smart, he is just,…..well, he is just incredibly arrogant and stupid. I still want to know who slept with at NBC to get his job and who he was sleeping with to keep it, because that is the only possible explanation for him lasting as long as he has. And apparently, now he hasn’t even been doing that very well either. But up till now, it certainly hasn’t been ratings or popularity that kept him on the air. And I doubt very much it was his charm and wit which helped. That came from the writers who wrote his words for him.

No matter what though, I can honestly say that Santa came to town early this year.

Keith Olbermann Counting Down To His Last Show!!!!!!!

Bookmark and Share    According to a report by National Public Radio, Olberman’s last place rated 8:00 p.m. show among the three major cable news networks is slated to be cancelled.

Olbermann denies this but he also claims that his show is the number one rated show in that time slot. Olbermann’s detachment from reality is nothing new and I would be too embarrassed to admit that Nancy Grace and CNN were beating me too, but Countdown with Keith Olbermann is an undeniable failure that MSNBC can’t afford to waste their time on.

That is good, especially since most American’s have long ago realized that Keith Olbermann and MessBC are not worth their  time……hence the low ratings.

Sadly Olbermann’s career won’t be over after his show is put out of our misery. A four year contract that the network has with him, forces them to utilize Olbermann in one way or another…………….got any openings in the janitorial slots set aside for cleaning the executive bathrooms?

All I can say is, its about time.  Olbermann’s show has been counting down to no ratings for far longer than anyone expected.  But you know what is really sad.  This makes Rachel Madcow the senior goofball on MessBC.  I wonder how long she has left?

Keith Olbermann Tried To Make Fun of My Mom

Bookmark and Share  The apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree and in my case I fell right next to the trunk of my parental tree.

When it comes to myself, I have a perfect mixture of both my parents in me.  I have developed a love for books that my father who literally owns a library of well over 6,000 books has. I have developed a talent for writing that both my olbermann_lgparents possess. Granted, my talent is not quite as good as theirs and I have not yet written any books or historical theses that have shaped events as they have, but I still have some time to catch up.

In other areas, when calm and collected, I demonstrate my father’s sense of analytical depth and when angered I demonstrate my mother’s fire, determination and flight off the handle.

Both my parents are quite civic minded. That is another thing I have inherited. But now my father has reached a point in his life where he wants to be left alone and not bothered by the craziness of a world that he has long ago tried to change so that his son could grow up in a world better than the one he grew up in. My mother on the other hand took part in the same struggles as he and also wants to be left alone by the world but with a government that refuses to listen, her temper flares and that anger inspires a stubbornness that forces her to still continue to try and change the world. Her temper and stubbornness are other traits that I inherit from her.

In my inherited stubbornness I still struggle to eek by in the world of politics, constantly at odds with the Leadership of the Republican Party that I have an ideological adherence to, but little ideological faith in anymore. In her stubbornness however, she has no political party loyalties. My mother can’t stand nor tolerate any politician or paerty and if she had the financial wealth of a George Soros, she would pull a Ross Perot on all their asses and create a party of her own. It would probably be a party with a very patriotic but angry sounding name. Something like the American Freedom Fighters Union. As it is, her email address is GiveMeLiberty.  Mine is LiberalsRlosers.  As I said….the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Recently her stubbornness has forced her to become a Tea Party Patriot. Between the outrageous antics of New Jersey state government and the audacity of dope we have in the White House, she has been driven to a point of total impatience. And so she has picked up arms in the form of a cyber trigger that she pulls constantly as she organizes a New Jersey Tea Party group. She has been attending and coordinating protests against Governor Jon Corzine and trying to wake people up to the fact that the citizens of freedom’s greatest nation are losing there freedoms.

In the midst of all this, one day while setting her DVR to record the television programs that she did not want to miss, she noticed something funny about the way The Glenn Beck Show appeared written out on the screens programming schedule. Now I am not a fan of Glenn Beck. I have nothing against him but for as dramatic as I can often be, I find him overly dramatic. Still I find that there is little that he states which can be disputed from a constitutional perspective, the only perspective that a federal government should have and my mother is an admirer of Glenn Beck.   She appreciates the level of anger that the points he brings up elevate her temper to.

So while my mother was setting up the DVR, she took a closer look at the screen and there it was, as clear as crystal….. GlenIf”ck.

While all other programs appeared with their proper names and spelling, this one conservative oriented program was turned into a curse word. After a moment of taking this in, she became offended and then angered by this abnormality that was unique to only this show.

As time progressed so did her anger. What was this all about? Whose idea of joke was this? All these thoughts crossed her mind and as each one passed her anger was raised.

She contacted CableVisiont, her cable provider. They had no explanation. She contacted the FCC. No answer was provided as to the reason or cause for the curse word identifying the Glenn Beck Show. So she pulled out her digital camera and recorded this event so as to prove that she was not seeing things.

My mother began forwarding the details of this mysterious but ominous situation to media outlets. Some newspapers started making calls and reporting back that neither FCC or Cablevision had an answer. In fact officials at CableVision went on record as saying “no comment”.

One New Jersey radio station picked up on this suspicious circumstance and discussed it. Others continued to try to get details about it.

Then on Friday night, the looniest of liberal loons, the master of liberal propaganda and talentless hack who couldn’t make it as sportscaster, Keith Olbermann, picked up the story. He ended his pitiful display of liberal lies and devastatingly low rated excuse for a television show with the video my mother made which showed how the Glenn Beck Show appears on her television.

In it, you will see that Dopermann tries to belittle her suspicion that this suspicious anomaly is more than just a glitch. Now while Olbermann tries to belittle her desire to get to the bottom of this by trying to paint her and conservatives as wacky conspiracy theorists, I would like to point a few things out.

First, the fact that the Glenn Beck Show is the only program that shows up this way is not a theory or even considered a conspiratorial effort by liberals. The plausible assumption here is that someone is demonstrating their own liberal biases and tampering with the programs name and the reasonable request here is to have such shenanigans stopped.

Second, if anyone wants to point fingers at extremists who exaggerate claims, Keith Dopermann should take at look at the party he pledges allegiance to and ask Hillary Clinton about that vast rightwing conspiracy that she blamed on the nation while her husband was lying to the world.

Thirdly and probably most importantly. Don’t make fun of a mans mother.

As I already stated, I have inherited my mother’s temper and Keith “Low Rated” Olbermann has already gotten on my bad side once before. Last time he offended me, I took him on and was invited to discuss him on a Los Angeles radio show.

This time , it’s personal.

So I offer this to Keith;

I don’t make fun of your mother, so do not make fun of mine. Your mother may have raised a spineless, fool with more mouth than brains but mine didn’t.

And may I also suggest that while your program ,which borders on being cancelled, continues to lose traction because of the gibberish that you air, stop for a minute and take a look at yourself and the ideology you promote. Look at your ratings and the few dredges of the earth who program their televisions to see your pathetic program. Check out the Van Jonses and Nancy Pelosis, Barney Franks, Rod Blagojeviches, Dennis Kuciniches and William Jeffersons of your ideology and tell me how serious that party can be taken.

Then I want you to please name for me any of the Democrat Party’s greatest achievements in the last forty years. I’ll be waiting for your script writers to try and dig up any significant accomplishments. The answer to that question would leave lots of dead air on your show if you had to answer that question live, on television.

In the meantime remember this, don’t make fun of people’s mothers. Especially the mothers of Italian sons from Brooklyn who have tempers.

Oh yeah. One more thing Mr. Olbermann………..

GOVERNMENT TAKEOVERS, THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Bookmark and ShareAs Democrats begin to feel their oats, with control of all three branches of government, there has been a renewed interest inantfairnessdoctrine_front1 what liberals smartly, but improperly, call  the Fairness Doctrine.

The Fairness Doctrine seeks to insure that the media allots equal time to both liberal and conservative viewpoints.

That sounds innocent enough on the surface but a cursory look under the surface reveals a twisted and tangled web of deceit and chicanery.

First of all, the Fairness Doctrine is anything but fair.

Is it fair to tell you what you must listen to or see? Is it fair to dictate what a private company sells outside of illegal trade?

Well the so called Fairness Doctrine does just that. It tells privately owned media outlets what they must air.

So if you are a liberal themed radio network, now you must change your format and become both a liberal and conservative network.

Attempts to reinstitute any type of Fairness Doctrine are attempts to undermine free speech, the free market and freedom of choice.

Liberal cries for a new Fairness Doctrine stem from a fear of conservative talk shows dominating the airwaves and over the years, they have become a thorn in the sides of liberal advocates. So much so that left leaning activists have tried and failed at creating their own liberal talk show ventures.

One such progressive station recently closed on February 5th. It was an AM station located at 1260 on the dial and called Obama 1260.

One of the most recent big liberal ventures was Air America. That went over so well that it went bankrupt in 2006.

Yet it seems that every day there is a new conservative oriented radio or television program cropping up. Be it Glenn Beck on t.v. or Mark Levine on WABC am radio, conservative hosts are increasing in popularity. They are getting more time on the air, more listeners and more money. Rush Limbaugh recently signed on to a decades long contract which made him one of radio’s richest hosts in history.

Why is that? Is it because the liberal oriented media moguls like these guys, or is it because they like the money that these guys bring in for them? Do they give these conservative hosts more time because their ratings are slipping or do they give them more time because when these hosts articulate the conservative cause, ratings go up?

The truth is that there are more people in America yearning for a comprehensive, logical, conservative oriented approach to government. Such an approach is not what they always see from their so-called political leaders. Voters are often disappointed by their political leaders who cave in on any number of political issues or votes. Yet conservative talking heads are able to  remain consistent in their views without having to bend to political compromise. So more often than not, conservative hosts are even more popular than some conservative legislators.

This popularity irks the left. They are frustrated by an articulation of conservative ideas that people listen to and want to listen to without having any desire to hear Al Franken, Randi Rhodes or Rachel “madcow’ Madow on Air America.

It is the free market which leads to the preponderance of conservative viewpoints that exists. It is driven by what is popular. Like any other commodity, radio and television is geared to what the people like. Would Milton Bradley keep on producing Monopoly if it didn’t sell? Would it be right for the government to come in and demand that Milton Bradley continue to make it if no one wanted to buy it?

Unless the government intends to confiscate the airwaves and all other forms of media, they have no constitutional right to control programming that does not violate the bounds of legal decency and ethics.

In the former Soviet Union the Fairness Doctrine had a different name. It was called Pravda. It was an official state sponsored radio and television agency which aired only what was approved or written by the government. It was an effective way to help maintain thinking in line with the way that the communists wanted the people to think.

If a Soviet Premier suddenly had a heart attack while having sex with a mistress, no one would ever know. In fact it could be weeks before the government decided to let anyone know that their leader was dead.

For communist Russians, it worked. But this is America. And in America, whether you call it fair or equal or anything else you might, it is not right. It is government control.

Government control seems to be the trend during this era of “spreading the wealth” but just how much government control do we want and where does the Fairness Doctrine draw the line?

Does the Fairness Doctrine eventually apply to the internet? Perhaps it will someday limit the internet to only a certain amount of conservative and liberal comments . Maybe servers such as aol or platforms such as wordpress can only be online at times of parody between Republican and Democrat commentary.

Will the Fairness Doctrine be strictly enforced in schools where every good word said about President Barack Obama is required to be followed by a good word about the Republican Senate Minority leader?

How far do we go?

I do know one thing for sure and that is that whenever government encroaches into new territory, they keep on going. When government creates a new tax that they promise to keep at a certain rate, they inevitably increase it.

When government regulates something, they rarely, if ever stop there. They regulate it more and more.

The saddest part of this whole discussion stems from the fact that the Fairness Doctrine is no where near being a sincere minded effort. It is a politically driven, partisan attempt to make censorship legal. It is an attempt to censor a free market society by the same people who try to claim that conservatives ban and burn books .

It is just another example of liberal hypocrisy.

Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow

Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow

But to add insult to injury let us look at liberal Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow.

Stabenow recently stated that she has begun the push for the Fairness Doctrine and feels that hearings on the matter are in the works.

That is interesting. Particularly in Stabenow’s case.

You see, you wouldn’t know it but Debbie Stabenow is also Mrs. Tom Athans.

Tom Athans is her husband and he is a radio executive.  A failed one but one who is still struggling to make his mark in liberal radio.

Athans is the co-founder of Democracy Radio and after failing as Vice President of Air America he founded another liberal talk show network called TalkUSA Radio.

For the sake of full disclosure I will add that, last year, Tom Athans was also arrested for hiring a prostitute for $150 bucks but that had nothing to do with Stabenow. However; for the the same sake of full disclosure, will Senator Stabenow disqualify herself from participating in measures that would in essence force demand for her husbands networks on to national airwaves and produce a great deal of personal wealth and benefit for the Athans-Stabenow family if those measures are approved?

Senator Stabenow with Husband Tom Athans

Senator Stabenow with Husband Tom Athans

Does anyone else not see the conflict of interest in Stabenow’s rush to push for the so called Fairness Doctrine?

Stabenow’s push to censor conservative talk shows and to call it a Fairness Doctrine is anything but fair or decent. It is censorship and in her case it is also an obvious conflict of interest.

Just as the infidelity of Stabenow’s husband is none of my business neither is radio or television any of Stabenow’s governmental business.

When I watch the Obama network, otherwise known as NBC or MSNBC, I do not believe that the government needs to intervene and needs to control their programming, I just do what most Americans do. I turn off MSNBC.

The same can be done with Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity or any other host or program that someone does not wish to see.

It just so happens that when it comes to liberal radio, few have been able to make a good case for liberalism. Hence the failure of Stabenow’s husband’s liberal programming career. It is a result of the free market. It is a victim of supply and demand. There is very little demand for a great deal of liberal propaganda so there is a limited supply of it coming from a market that is based on profit.

The funniest aspect to this whole hypocritical legislative initiative is that there are few people who will argue with the fact that most of the media already has a liberal bias. Even Hillary Clinton had a hard time containing her disdain for a liberal media that turned on her in favor of an even more liberal Barack Obama. Yet that is not good enough for greedy liberals like Stabenow.

Liberals like Stabenow want to stifle speech and profit from it too.

POLITICS AND DINNER DON’T GO TOGETHER

I have to apologize here from the get go. The other night my partner Nick, and I went out to a local diner for a quick bite to eat. We were seated at a booth in between a group of four behind me and a group of three senior citizens behind Nick. While perusing the menu my ears caught the phrase “I don’t like Obama”. It came from one of the ladies in the group sitting behind Nick .

Being preoccupied by politics, certain buzz words like election, President, McCain, or Obama, catch my attention even when I am not paying attention.

So this older woman’s utterance of the word “Obama” lit up my on my radar screen. Even though it may have been impolite to pay attention to a conversation not involving me, I couldn’t help myself.

So I apologize for any impolite eavesdropping, that I may be guilty of. It wasn’t my intent but I’m a political junkie, and as such, this election season is for me what Christmas is to a wide eyed, little boy.  It’s like the Super Bowl to football fans and I am just in tune to any references to politics. Besides, to put it nicely, this woman was not using her inside voice. So curiosity got the best of me and I paid attention to the political opinion that was unfolding.

The woman went on to say “I don’t like Obama but he’s got my vote”. The woman explained further “those Republicans are only for the rich and big business”

At this point the waitress came over to take the orders of Nick and I. Being distracted, I let my partner order first and I than quickly determined what I wanted. With my attention taken off of the conversation that I was not a part of, Nick and I started our own banter.

When the waitress returned with our drink orders, both Nick and myself happened to hear that same woman I overheard earlier say “and that “McCann”, “he just wants to give tax breaks to big companies”. At this point I had just begun to take a sip of my Pepsi with lemon and no ice when she continued “and who are those big businesses to make as much money as they do. They shouldn’t be allowed to make that much money in the first place”.

Upon hearing that , I gagged on my soda. Having caught that remark from right behind him, Nick knew what the cause of my discomfort was.

We were about to eat and after having heard what I just heard, I could not allow myself to pay any further attention and still be able to stomach the meal I was about to eat.

Nick knew my blood pressure was rising and quickly tried to establish our own conversation and provide a diversion from that which had me fuming. Our food came and we discussed the details of the event we were heading out to DJ.

Through it all, I could not help but allow the words of that woman to echo in my head. I couldn’t stop wondering if she actually knew what she said. Did she really believe, that in America, people should only be allowed to make a certain amount of money? Did she actually believe Democrat talking points and accept them as the truth?

I thought to myself, how little this woman really knew and how misinformed she was. Yet, despite her lack of understanding , awareness and information, she threw her words out with total conclusiveness and decisiveness. This is a woman who referred to John McCain as “John McCann”. She didn’t even know his name yet she acted like a brilliant sage who proclaimed Republicans are only for the rich and that businesses should only be allowed to make a certain amount of money.

What this woman neglected to realize was that Republicans and “John McCann” do not believe in penalizing success. They do not support limiting opportunity or making our government some type of communist politburo that does everything from control your wages to determining what, how and where your children are educated. She didn’t understand that Republicans were not for the rich or sponsors of class warfare but that they didn’t believe in penalizing success or taxation that goes so far that it taxes the dead and buried. This bitter, jealous woman could not wrap her head around the fact that “John McCann” is not trying to keep her down but that he is trying to prevent government from holding her back.

All these thoughts raced through my mind as Nick and I ate and as I tried to focus on our own discussion.

We chatted away and finished up our meal but in the back of my head I could not stop thinking about how gullible this woman was. She actually believed in the liberal bumper sticker slogans and campaign catch phrases that promoted liberal socialist policies in brightly colored wrapping paper and big ribbons and bows. She admitted that she didn’t even like Barack Obama. Yet because he was a Democrat and since they were against the rich, she was for them.

Beyond angering me, it worried me. I worried about how many more people in America held her thinking and how many despised the free market that comes with our democracy? How many Americans were actually supporting socialism and wanted to adopt it as our way of life?

With our meal finished, I got up before Nick to find our waitress. I put on my McCain-Palin jacket, prominently, found the waitress and asked her for not only my check but for the check of the people at the table behind Nick. I told her that I wanted to pay for it. The waitress was taken back for a moment and said “Oh, Ok, here ya go”. After paying and getting my change, I asked if she could give me a blank dinner check to write a message on and that she could give to the customers I paid for. She handed one to me and I wrote:

“Dear Fellow Americans;
I paid your check.
I did so because this is still America and in it I can still make as much as my ambition, skill, and willingness to make allows. In it I am also still allowed to keep enough of it so that I can spend as much of it as I want and on what I want. If Barack Obama is elected he will determine all that for me. So enjoy my generosity while you can because if you get your way, we will all be losing our own ways.

P.S.: John McCain is the man trying to preserve democracy. Tom McCann is the company you buy your shoes from.”

Upon leaving the diner with Nick, and after paying for more meals than I expected, just to make a point, I realized that just like the government should do, I too should mind my own business.

  A Quickie

One day George W. Bush and Dick Cheney walk into a diner. A waitress walks up to them and asks if she can take their order. Bush leans close to her and says, “Honey, can I have a quickie?”

The waitress is appalled and yells at the President about women’s rights and storms away.

Cheney then says to Bush, “George, its pronounced ‘quiche’.”

An Open Letter To Keith Olbermann and NBC.

Failed Sportscaster, and Demoted Newsman Keith Olbermann, The New Tokyo Rose

Dear Depraved, Liar;
I happened to see your low rated program “Countdown with Keith Olbermann”. I would have turned you off like most Americans do but I was curious. I wondered if you were as big a schmuck as I have been told you were. Like passing a car wreck on the Garden State Parkway, I just had to look and see if it was possible for a news station to be as irresponsible as I have been told NBC is.

Not only did I find that it was possible, I was stunned by the outright lies and offensiveness of the so called program you attempted to get through, . For almost thirty minutes you polluted the air with disgusting innuendos, blatant lies, and the greatest amount of disinformation ever transmitted since Tokyo Rose tried to discourage American troops from carrying out their valiant missions to defend democracy. For me, you were even more offensive than Tokyo Rose. She was not an American. She was not operating under any rules of decency or fairness. You however, are suppose to be, and yet, you flout those qualities as if they were Sunday comic strips.

You conduct yourself in a way that strips any sense of integrity or decency away from NBC. It is no wonder why they have placed you on their sagging cable news outlet, MSNBC. It would also explain why MSNBC is so low in the ratings.

What I do wonder about is how they can possibly keep putting you on any air?

You failed at your job as a sportscaster, and somehow got utilized by NBC for delivering the news. Since then you have proved incompetent and along with your sidekick, Chris Mathews, got booted from that job and now you are left only with your appearance in a goofball, commentary segment.

After seeing your performance, I have concluded that you must be offering sexual favors to some important troll at NBC. It is the only apparent reason that anyone could possibly have for employing you.

On your program you lied exactly 13 times about John McCain and  9 times about Sarah Palin, the only two people that your show discussed.   Additionally, you called them racists and liars.  In the past you have even accused John McCain of treason and through it all you never once made a reference to any facts.

Your despicable conduct, irrational behavior, prejudiced judgment and skewed logic has no place in an intelligent society.

Beyond that, the blatant hatred that you conveyed in your fairy tales, during this program, carried over. They conjured up the same sense of hatred for you that you aired for those who are not liberals, So much so that I must relay my own wishes for you.

After witnessing your despicable program, it is my deepest hope that you are blown out of your ivory tower and have your legs and arms broken as you fall to the earth where a group of wild thugs spit on you while punching and kicking you. Then, with almost every bone in your body broken, I sincerely hope they throw you into a New York City sewer for 5 years, where you are fed a piece of bread a day and left to drink the raw sewerage that flows around you. And through it all, I want NBC to repeatedly report, day after day, that for your efforts, you are being accused of turning your back on any and all sense of journalistic integrity and for treason to the United States.

You should be forced to endure the same conditions that the man you ridicule, belittle and lie about, endured during his service for and to our country.

But you, Mr. Olbermann, are not alone in the need for public denunciation. The corporate goons who afford you the opportunity to play the role of a modern day Tokyo Rose should pay even more dearly.

The dwindling ratings of NBC, due to mediocre programming, has been forcing them to scramble for survival for more than two years. Their hopes for MSNBC to help alleviate the suffering of it’s parent company has failed. MSNBC loses out to all other competitors and now they are having trouble selling air time to advertisers. Circumstances such as this are not only expected, but their irresponsible conduct in airing people, such as yourself, makes these results well deserved.

NBC is allowing you to fan the flames of hatred. They are allowing you to exploit a polarized electorate by polarizing them even more. NBC is allowing you to plant the seeds of anger during one of our nations most important moments, a national election. IT is a time when we must all be responsible in determining the direction we will head in and yet NBC uses it as an opportunity to breed anger.

Mr. Olbermann, I write these things not in an attempt for ratings or the undeserved, lucrative paycheck that you receive, I write this to you because your behavior can not be ignored and because it should not be kept the great secret that your low ratings allow it to be. I write this because responsible people should take it upon themselves to denounce such conduct and demand that it not be rewarded. I also write this to let you know that through your lies, false accusations and deceit, your hateful objectives have achieved their goal. They have created anger, but that anger is not aimed at the targets you hoped. It is directed towards you.

GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT

Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said someone may steal from it at night; so they created a night watchman, GS-4 position, and hired a person for the job.

Then Congress said, “How does the watchman do his job without instruction?” So they created a planning division and hired two (2) people, one person to write the instructions (GS-12) and one person to do time studies (GS-11).

Then Congress said, “How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?” So they created a quality control (QC) division and hired two (2) people, one (GS-9) to do the studies and one (GS-11) to write the reports.

Then Congress said, “How are these people going to get paid?” So they created a payroll division with a time keeper (GS-9) and a payroll officer (GS-11), and hired two (2) people.

Then Congress said, “Who will be accountable for all of these people?” So they created an administrative division and hired three (3) people: an Admin Officer (GM-13), Assistant Admin Officer (GS-13), and a Legal Secretary (GS-8).

Then, one year later, Congress reviewed the operation of the desert scrap yard and said, “We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $18,000 over budget. We must cut back overall costs!” So they eliminated the night watchman
