The track of Hurricane Irene is still projected to place the New Jersey shore in or very near the eye of the storm. Many experts are now preparing for the worst case scenario that there is with a storm like this.Some of the latest developing information includes a mandatory evacuation in Cape May County, and Long Beach Island, and the Mayor of Asbury Park has urged al residents to evacuate to higher ground by Saturday afternoon.
As of the writing of this post, a mandatory evacuation order was put in to effect in Atlantic County effective tomorrow ( Friday) morning.
